2016 Grant Recipients

AZ YOUTH PARTNERSHIP-1st Year Grant-$8,000

Agency Background: In partnership with communities, AZ Youth Partnership cultivates healthy foundations for youth and promotes strong families, especially in the rural areas of Tucson.  AZYP’s programs utilize a three-pronged approach:

  • Cultivating Healthy Foundations for Youth
  • Promoting Strong Families
  • Mobilizing Communities through Coalitions

Focus of the 2016 SCCF Grant:  Provide monetary assistance to complete college/higher ed. testing, certifications and application fees.

Measurable ResultsIncrease the number of students who:

  • Enroll in higher academic/university, vocational and technical programs
  • College/career ready upon graduating
  • Participating in pre-college exams (ACT & SAT)
  • Completing the GED exam
  • Attending trade programs
  • Improving financial literacy skills
  • Setting goals
