Agency Background: Assistance League of Tucson, Inc is a volunteer organization with no paid staff that provides essential goods and services to improve the lives of disadvantaged men, women and children in greater Tucson area.

Focus of the 2011 SCCF Grant: Operation School Bell Operation School Bell promotes and encourages school attendance through the provision of new clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies to disadvantaged K-5th grade children. The program serves families with extreme need from 33 schools, including Amphitheater, as selected by school personnel. During the 2009-2010 school year, more than 3,900 children received new clothing and items to help increase their school attendance. Since the beginning of the 2010-2011 year, clothing has been provided for 3,022 children.
